I was born and raised in the small town of Dayton, TN, population 7,000. My mom and dad moved to Dayton to plant a church in 1991, and I was born soon afterward. I was raised a pastor’s son, youngest of three, and have loved every minute of being a member of my biological family and my church family.
I grew up with many passions: sports, music, and writing primarily. But as I’ve grown older, I’ve added a deep passion for discipleship and helping others maintain a strong, committed relationship with our Lord.
Beginning in my sophomore year in college, I began teaching and assistant leading our church’s youth group, and during this time I developed a strong commitment to aiding others in pursuing and embracing the immeasurable riches found in embracing the Gospel and a deep relationship with Christ.
In August 2014 I moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to pursue a Master’s of Divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary in order to train for pastoring on the college campus, seeking to help college students embrace and pursue a deep, Gospel-centered relationship with our Great God. While in seminary, I’m also teaching 9th grade history and literature (another passion of mine) with Greyfriars Classical Academy. What a blessing to be pursuing my passions, developing my talents, and growing deeper in my understanding and love for our Lord. Only God knows the rest of my story, but I praise Him for the plot He’s written so far!
